AT Institute Terms & Conditions

All students who have been accepted by AT Institute herein referred to as ATI will be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. A registration fee of £50 is charged before any application is made. Applications for admission, which are not accompanied by the registration fee, will not be considered.
All students must enrol at the start of their course, and at each subsequent year. At that time they must either provide an acceptable written guarantee from an official sponsor accepting responsibility for all fees due or make full payment of their fees and any registration fees for the academic year concerned or elect to pay by instalments. The college will only accept student enrolments upon receipt of the relevant payments or sponsor authorisation.

2. Applications received, prior to the commencement date of the course must be accompanied by a deposit of £1000.00 or the full tuition fees. The deposit will be refunded in full if the application is refused by ATI. However, if the application is accepted the deposit is non-refundable automatically.

3. Refund of 75% of tuition fees for overseas students abroad are made on condition that all original confirmation documents issued to the student including the receipt(s) and the original documentation of refusal from the embassy are returned by registered post no later than two months after the refusal letter from the embassy and/or commencement of the course registered. Confirmation will also be sought from the respective embassy regarding the refusal. If tuition fees are paid by the representative/sponsor in the UK, refunds will be made only to the representative/sponsor in the UK.
Full refund of tuition fees will be made if the college is unable to offer the advertised course due to insufficient students’ enrolment or due to any other reason.

4. Requests for transfer of start date on a course by overseas students abroad will be considered only at the discretion of the institution for which supporting confirmation will be requested. If accepted, this will be considered as a fresh application and the registration fee will be recharged. For such a request all previously issued confirmation documents by the college have to be returned by registered post before new documents can be issued.

5. All declarations made on the application form for admissions are accepted in good faith. Students, who make false declaration about details such as age, qualifications, financial resources etc, and fail to produce documentary evidence of qualifications, will result in the expulsion of the student from the course; no refund of tuition fees will be made. However the management will admit this issue to the board committee which will decide under the formal procedure whether the prospective student can be admitted.

6. A student may be transferred to another course for which he/she may be qualified. If a student transfers to another course, additional tuition fees may be applicable if the duration after the transfer falls short of the required number of terms to complete the course. Extension of time on a course will also incur additional tuition fees.

7. Tuition fees for the course must be paid in full before commencing the course, unless a prior arrangement is made for paying in instalments (applicable only to students in the UK).  Instalments fees must be paid on the due dates or registration dates specified by the college. All tuition fees for the course must be paid in full before the commencement of the final term.

8. The college is sympathetic towards students who are unable to pay the full fees in one instalment (only applicable to students in the UK with prior arrangement with the college for paying fees by instalments). As no interest is charged on fees paid in instalments, it is with regret that notice will be given if this facility is abused; so that any outstanding fees will become  payable immediately, and the student will not be allowed to continue on the course unless all outstanding fees are settled.

9. If cheques, credit card payments/standing orders, etc., are dishonoured by the bank, all fees will become payable immediately.

10. Tuition fees once paid are not refundable in part or total. However, students who have to leave the college due to illness after the commencement of the course (to be supported by doctor’s certificate) may transfer their fees to a course starting at a later date at ATI. There will be a deferment fee of £50.00. If a student is unable to take up a course even at a later date, his/her fees can be transferred to another student enrolling at ATI. This arrangement has to be made by the student. ATI will make a transfer fee charge of £75.00 plus other disbursement.

11. Fees listed by ATI are for tuition fees only, unless otherwise stated. Examination fee(s), text books, stationary, registration fees with professional bodies, etc. are not included.

12. ATI reserves the right to change the tuition fees at anytime, although students presently on the course and students who have registered prior to the change will not be affected.

13. There will be no reduction for those students starting their course late.

14. All course work must be completed by students and handed in on time. Students must pass with an average of 50% in both their course work and internal exams in order to progress to the next term. Students, who do not achieve the standards set by ATI at the end of each term, may have to retake their term.

15. Should a student change his/her UK address, the student must notify the college immediately.

16. ATI reserves the right to discontinue any course or group. Students presently on the course will be transferred to other appropriate courses/groups. This is also applicable if examination bodies cease to exist, when students presently on the course will be transferred to other appropriate courses.

17. Progress reports and attendance records can be provided to sponsors of a student on request. Students must ensure they maintain an overall attendance of 90%. If this is not adhered to, students may be struck off the register without notice.

18. In the event of a student being expelled due to gross misconduct, low attendance or breaking the UK law, tuition fees that have been paid to date, will not be refunded. If an overseas student is required to leave the country by the Home Office for poor or no attendance, or because of any breach of law, tuition fees paid will not be refunded. ATI will not be responsible for loss of mail sent to students at the college address, although every care will be taken to ensure that mail sent by recorded delivery/registered post is handed to students as soon as it arrives. Ordinary post should be collected from the main reception.

20. Special needs students’ are advised to inform the ATI about their disability. The management of ATI will enclose a Special Needs Request Form, to be followed by the special procedure with regards to the needy students.

21. In the event of an Act of God or political or industrial unrest, that may cause temporary cessation of lectures at ATI, the college will ensure classes will commence as soon as possible and with extra help to enable students to prepare for their proposed examinations.

The Fees and Financial Regulations are reviewed by the college from time to time. There is no guarantee that the conditions for payment or refund of fees will remain the same from year to year. All students must comply with the current Fees Policy and Financial Regulations. The college reserves the right to change or amend the Fees Policy and Financial Regulations from time to time without prior notice. The most current document will apply.
